Vacancy Introduction
The post holder will work with Senior Finance Managers, the Assistant Director of Finance – Financial Control, Deputy/Assistant Finance Managers and the Trust’s budget holders/managers to:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of systems to facilitate the timely and accurate processing and recording of the Trust’s financial activities
Investigate queries from staff, external customers/suppliers and patients, providing assistance and advice where required
Support other finance staff in their duties
Key Responsibilities
Provide day to day routine support to the LCH (Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust) Finance Team
Liaise with organisations providing financial services to LCH to ensure accuracy of financial information and assist with budget holder queries
Input receipts into the general ledger in accordance with the monthly timetable, liaising with health centres/clinics as required
Ensure the accurate maintenance of financial records by recording all receipts received into the Finance Department prior to input into the general ledger
Raise sales orders and support the management of the receivables policy and procedure. Ensure that any queries raised from customers/patients are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
Process payment requests/urgent payments in a timely and accurate manner, dealing with any queries as required
Prepare and analyse routine information as required
Assist with control account reconciliations to ensure they are kept up to date
Assist with month end and annual accounts process ensuring that proper records are maintained to support the audit of the accounts by the statutory auditor. Respond to Internal and External audit queries when required to do so
Establish good working relationships, both internal and external to the organisation and, in particular, within designated areas of responsibility, to assist in the maintenance and development of quality financial services
Maintain effective communication and teamwork with finance and non-finance professionals
Maintain quality standards within the team
