Vacancy Introduction

The role is to support ICAN Hubs, Community Children’s Nursing and Hannah House admin teams in delivering a patient administration function which enables an efficient way of managing the patient journey from referral to discharge across the services, and as a result improves the patient experience. 
 
 The role is to ensure standardised processes are developed and embedded across the services and to lead on efficiency opportunities within the admin teams, linking in with service managers and other LCH colleagues as necessary.
 
 The administration services team leader takes responsibility for the operation of a section of the administrative service, acting as line manager for the whole section (supported by ASSM and ASM) across the 14 (approximately) clinical pathways amongst 5 different sites.
 
 This role actively contributes to continuous service improvement activities, including the maintenance and improvement of quality to ensure that services are delivered with customer focus.

Main Duties
Managing team issues and concerns, supporting change where there is resistance from team members. Taking ownership of problems in own area of responsibility. Within the parameters of line management dealing with difficult situations.
Working collaboratively and encouraging team cohesiveness through sharing information and expertise, working together to solve problems, and putting team success first. Prioritising own work in the context of competing, high-profile demands on own and team’s time.
Making decisions and taking action independently whilst supporting the work area
Developing staff in the work area, providing counselling or coaching to staff acting as a role model for more junior staff.
There is a need to travel across the city to different sites to ensure visibility and attend various meetings at service/team level.
