We are looking for someone who aspires to make a real difference to people affected by, or at risk of TB.
The TB Service is as much about public health as it is about clinical and nursing care which covers all age groups. Excellent communication skills are essential to this role which embraces the core elements of public health nursing: inequalities, prevention, and health protection across the entire population. You will gain specialist knowledge of the physical aspects of the disease and the emotional, psychological, and social impact on individuals, their families, and friends.

As someone with outstanding organisational skills you will provide outpatient clinics, both in the community and hospital setting, working closely with other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The role includes new entrant screening, mantoux testing, BCG immunisation and supervision of treatment, including directly observed therapy in patients’ own homes. You will hold a caseload of patients with latent TB with full support from the senior nurses.
You must be a registered nurse (either adult or child) with excellent communication skills and enjoy using your initiative and providing support to colleagues within the team. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
The service operates Monday to Friday and you will work across the Leeds district. You must have a valid driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle.
