The Integrated Children with Additional Needs (ICAN) service are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with community nursing experience to join our nursing leadership team. We are proud of all we achieve in the ICAN service & to fulfil our vision we are recruiting a part-time Band 7 ICAN Lead for Nursing. (22.5 hours/week over 3 days incl Thursday & Friday)
It is an exciting time for ICAN as we continue to develop our services for children, young people & their families. Enthusiasm for nursing and high-quality care delivery, as well as leadership and teamwork are key attributes of the successful candidate. Experience & understanding of community care provision for children with additional needs & their families is required.
Access to a car in order to travel independently across the city is required as ICAN covers 3 bases across the city.
Interviews will be face to face in Leeds
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking registered nurse with excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills and ability to motivate and support others through change and service development.
Experience in triage of referrals and clinical decision making will support key responsibilities of this post, as well as leadership of our nursing team, pathways and interventions. Excellent IT skills & knowledge of clinical systems including SystmOne & Datix will support our successful candidate in their day-to-day work. You will facilitate staff appraisals, supervision processes & staff development through competency processes.
Our successful candidate will work within the existing ICAN nursing leadership team and will contribute to the delivery of the Children’s Business Unit’s Children, Young People & Families Strategy.
