Vacancy Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Short-Term Care Beds service as a Band 7 Physiotherapy Lead on a job share basis (0.4 WTE, 2 days per week).
This key leadership role is central to delivering high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation within Leeds’s community short-term care bed provision. You will work in close partnership with Leeds City Council and lead physiotherapy input across four service bases, ensuring safe, effective care that supports timely discharge and promotes patient independence.
As Physiotherapy Lead, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership across the service, delivering and overseeing high-quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients with complex needs
- Lead and support service development, quality improvement initiatives, and innovation across all four bases
- Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver integrated care
- Support workforce development through supervision, mentoring, and education of staff and students
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and patient-centred care
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative Physiotherapist who:
- Has experience working at Band 6 level or above within rehabilitation, community, or intermediate care settings
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and develop services
- Has experience working within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environments
- Is confident working across multiple sites and able to manage competing priorities effectively
- Is passionate about integrated care and improving patient outcomes
Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential due to travel across multiple sites in Leeds
