An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated band 6 practitioner (full time and part time posts available) to join the Leeds Children’s and Young Person’s CORE service. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic and busy multidisciplinary team.

We are a citywide multidisciplinary team from a range of backgrounds, including psychiatry, nursing, psychology and social work. We provide specialist assessment and formulation and intervention for young people up to the age of 18 and their families.    We are committed to keeping the needs of the children and young people we see at the heart of what we deliver. The team actively participates in clinical and other forms of supervision.

If you have previous experience of working with risk and complex mental health needs, are highly motivate to learn new skills and work with young people and their families then please get in contact with us. Applications are welcomed from those registered with NMC/ SWE/ HCPC/ACP. The successful candidate will work independently and with the wider staff team along with young people and their families. 

You will join a multi-disciplinary team which provides professional support and offers collaborative working. You will be welcomed into a service which prioritises reflective practice, clinical supervision and continuing professional development.  

Main duties will include 

Working with children and young people and their families within their homes and a clinic setting. The role is patient facing and you will be expected to work from within a base. 

Working as part of an MDT, attending team meetings, formulation and case discussion and working collaboratively with other agencies. Taking the role of duty clinician, triaging referrals and responding to calls where needed. Training will be provided. 

Participate in the delivery of a range of evidence-based interventions mental health focussed interventions and actively support leadership.

Participate and support within the assessment clinic and contribute to the assessment and planning implementation and evaluation of care for young people. Develop and maintain effective relationships within wider CYPMHS and external agencies.
