Vacancy Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Leeds Community Healthcare for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our friendly, dynamic and forward-thinking service. The team delivers services to children aged 0-19 years with complex needs and long-term neurodevelopmental conditions. Children and families access the service in venues including health centres, schools, nurseries, Children's Centres and their homes. You will work as part of a dynamic MDT across our 3 bases to develop in this specialist clinical area, as well as working with outside organisations such as Education and the Local Authority.

We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing clinical and managerial support from experienced specialist staff, regular in-house training, as well as opportunities for involvement in service development. Physiotherapists in our team use different consultation approaches such as digital, face to face, and specialist treatment interventions to support our families.

Successful applicants must enjoy working with children and be keen to continue developing their physiotherapy assessment and analysis skills. You will implement functional and fun therapy advice to enable children to achieve their goals. Excellent communication and team working skills are essential with applicants being able to manage their caseload, work with the wider MDT and deliver of a range of therapy interventions across the service including rebound, aquatic physiotherapy and land-based sessions with training provided.  We encourage all staff to participate in audits and projects to develop the service. The successful applicant will also be expected to take an active role in the supervision of students and support the development of working practices within ICAN. 

Due to our community-based role, a U.K. car drivers licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
