Clinical Nurse Specialist

Vacancy Introduction


Are you an experienced and passionate nurse with a strong background in continence care? 


We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Band 7 Continence Nurse Specialist to lead and develop high-quality continence services across Leeds Community. This is a pivotal role where you will provide expert clinical care, drive service improvements, and support education for staff and patients alike. You will work autonomously and as part of a nurse led team to deliver evidence-based interventions and personalised care.


Main duties of the role


You will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management plans for adult patients with complex continence needs in the community setting.


  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of continence services across Leeds community.
  • Act as a leader, supporting junior staff and student nurses, and promoting best practices in continence care.
  • Deliver and support training for healthcare professionals, carers, and patients.
  • Collaborate with GPs, community nurses, urology, physiotherapy, and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in audits, service reviews, and policy development to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to data collection for service monitoring and improvement.


This is a city-wide service which operates Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
