Clinical Systems Administrator

Vacancy Introduction

This role will be working within the Clinical Systems Management team as a systems administrator supporting the clinical, administrative, and information governance processes to ensure the safe management of electronic patient records within the Trust.

Supported by a team of Clinical Advisors and other systems administrators, and with a particular focus on managing complex merges, the post holder will be required to work autonomously, flexibly, productively and co-operatively to deliver a quality systems support service.

This post will work as part of the Systems Support service desk team to administer electronic patient record systems. The role will focus on processes for patient records where a new NHS number is issued, or records are created without the use of an NHS number.

A key part of the role will be to liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders and will become a key point of contact for services within LCH and externally with GP’s, the ICB and social care where there are issues relating to the management of electronic health records.

Experience in using electronic clinical systems is essential to this role. As is an understanding of the complexities of children and young people moving through the adoption process, records management following gender reassignment and the wider intricacies where electronic records can become confused.

Other main duties include working in a Support Service environment proactively and reactively responding to issues, working with clinicians to configure and administer clinical systems with the aim of improving data quality and deliver a quality support service.
