We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic clinical team manager to join our team in Hull and Humberside.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Band 7 Senior practitioner with experience in the criminal justice system to be an integral part of the Liaison and Diversion and RECONNECT services. 

The post holder will have excellent communication and person skills and have extensive experience of working with individuals in mental health, learning disability or criminal justice services and experience of managing a team.

The Liaison and Diversion Service works with individuals who come in to contact with the Criminal Justice System. The team works to identify individuals who have identified vulnerabilities, such as mental health, across custody suites, courts and community in both the north and south banks of the Humber.  Alongside this our Humberside Reconnect Service is a care after custody service that seeks to improve the care of people leaving prison by offering our service and support pre-release, and continued support in the community post release. 

The clinical team leader will be responsible for providing will hold overall clinical leadership responsibility for the team and will be responsible for the overall standards which will include assessment of need, risk and delivery of care within the organisations policy and procedures.

The clinical team leader will also support the Senior RECONNECT and Liaison and Diversion Practitioners to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior delivery partners within the Prison, Local Authority, Probation, Police, Adult Social Care, Mental Health Services,  and other providers to coordinate care plans which will support individuals to engage with local services.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, dynamic registered  professional with good knowledge of the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems to join the team at a senior level;  nurse or other professional registration, occupational therapist, social worker, Approved Mental Health Professional etc.

You will be dynamic, innovative, and committed to delivering a safe and effective service and a high standard of healthcare. As you'll be working with non-NHS professionals  within the service  so highly effective communication skills are a must. And you're empowered by working independently but able to maintain a sense of team and your professional identity and have  responsibility for oversight of the team clinical caseload.

You will have extensive experience of working in a relevant specialty substance misuse services, prison healthcare or mental health liaison service in an A&E or secure unit, Probation or Youth offending service. This role requires full police vetting, and it is essential that you can travel independently across the area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
