Corporate Governance Officer

Vacancy Introduction

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable administrator to join the corporate governance team and fill this pivotal role in the Trust.

The post requires the use of excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills along with highly developed communication and formal minute-taking skills. The ability to exercise initiative and to deal with multiple tasks is essential; whilst many tasks are regular and pre-programmed there are unplanned requirements to be met in often tight and challenging timescales.

The post holder will establish and maintain proactive communication with colleagues at all levels, within and outside the organisation and will be required to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality at all times.

The post holder also provides personal assistant functions to the Trust’s non-executive directors and the Company Secretary, and cross-cover within the corporate governance team.

Any queries please contact Bridget Lockwood: bridget.lockwood@nhs.net - 07912 488341

The post holder will provide admin support to the Board and/or its sub-Committees, including securing room bookings, drafting agendas and compiling and circulating paper packs.  Accurate formal minutes will need to be produced, and action plans and bring forward systems kept updated.

Other tasks involved with the role include supporting a Board service visits programme, maintaining registers such as declarations of interests and hospitality, and maintaining the corporate governance web presence.

This role will be required to provide basic cover for the Trust's Risk Manager - full training would be provided.

This role is hybrid - much of the work can be done from home but Committee and Board meetings are face to face so there is a requirement to attend in person.
