This is a senior leader within the Trust and as such you will be supported to work autonomously to strategic and operational leadership to the Finance Directorate.  We know that staff are our greatest asset and such the Deputy Director of Finance must be an exceptional leader with a proven track record of leading, motivating and inspiring those around you. You will take the lead on the Trust’s Finance Staff Development strategy supporting the development and embedding of a shared vision for the Directorate which will be achieved by individual and team objectives as well as a clear and fair commitment to training and development opportunities. The strategy will ensure all of our activities add value, contribute to the Trust objectives and are performed to the highest professional standard.  

The post holder will support the Executive Director of Finance & Resources in delivery of the financial duties, they will take the lead on ensuring a sound system of internal financial control and governance arrangements are in place alongside developing and implementing plans to support long term financial sustainability.

We are a lead provider for a number of services,  so as well as deputising for the Director of Finance you will have the opportunity to work routinely with the partnership boards providing strategic financial advice and guidance to a range of clinical and operational Directors helping to ensure we achieve our statutory financial duties whilst maintaining clinical quality and safety.
