OPERATIONAL HEAD OF SERVICE – POLICE CUSTODY

Agenda for Change 8a – 1WTE Secondment/Fixed Term to 31.7.26

Leeds Community Healthcare is seeking a motivated, values-driven Operational Head of Service to lead Police Custody Healthcare within our Specialist Business Unit.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of healthcare services across police custody settings, working at the interface of health, criminal justice and partner agencies

The role

You will:

•            Lead operational delivery across multi-site custody services

•            Ensure safe staffing, quality, performance and financial control

•            Deliver contractual and KPI requirements

•            Provide visible, compassionate leadership to multidisciplinary teams

•            Maintain and build strong relationships with police and commissioners 


About You:

You may already be operating at a senior level or looking to take the next step.

You will bring:

•            Leadership experience within complex healthcare services.

•            Strong operational and performance management skills

•            The ability to lead change and influence.

•            A collaborative solution focussed and people-centred approach.
