Vacancy Introduction
We are looking to recruit an experienced Programme Manager to be an integral part of a dynamic team delivering a significant programme of organisational and workforce transformation across two NHS trusts.
The postholder will initially be responsible and accountable for leading delivery of the People Portal programme and supporting preparations for organisational integration from April 2027. Working across both organisations, this programme will play a key role in transforming workforce systems, processes and ways of working, ensuring that staff and managers are supported through a period of significant change.
Over recent years strong foundations have been established through workforce transformation, digital development and collaborative working. We are now entering the next phase of this work, implementing a new workforce system and embedding the infrastructure, governance, processes and leadership arrangements needed to support future organisational ambitions across both trusts.
We are looking for an experienced programme manager with excellent leadership, partnership working and stakeholder engagement skills who can work across organisational boundaries to turn these ambitions into reality.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for leading delivery of the People Portal programme and associated organisational change activity across two NHS trusts. Working in partnership with colleagues across both organisations, services and professional groups, they will ensure successful delivery of programme objectives, benefits and outcomes.
The role will provide leadership and coordination across programme workstreams, overseeing programme planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, testing, risk and issue management, and benefits realisation. The postholder will work closely with the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA), system users, digital teams and senior leaders across both trusts to ensure the solution is thoroughly tested, successfully implemented and embedded into practice.
They will proactively manage dependencies between organisations, support informed decision-making and ensure delivery is achieved within agreed timescales, quality standards and organisational priorities, while promoting a collaborative approach to programme delivery across both trusts.
This is a fixed term role for 18 Months.
