This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in developing the Leeds Mental Health Support Teams.

 

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Clinical Practitioner to work in one of our 7 teams across Leeds. You will be expected to support the provision of high quality care to children, young people (CYP) and their families, and to offer clinical leadership across the service. You will also be a part of the wider service’s leadership team, contributing to service development and partnership working. 

 

The MMST offers early intervention mental health support to children, young people, and their families within schools, colleges, and education provisions across Leeds. We are continually growing and supporting a newly developing workforce of EMHP's.

Main duties of the role


A Senior Clinical Practitioner (SCP) holds a small caseload of CYP offering evidence-based Low intensity CBT interventions to address their needs. 


You will be expected to work with education settings, offering consultation, advice & training to education staff. The SCP offers clinical supervision, caseload management supervision & day-to-day clinical leadership to the team & supports clinical decision making. 


The SCP supports the Clinical Team Manager providing clinical  leadership to the team, attending team leadership meetings & contributes to wider service innovation. The SCP participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings, group supervision & links in with the CYPMHS teams. The SCP leads key meetings,  partnerships with external agencies & other teams within LCH.


The SCP supports  development & research projects within the service. We welcome individuals with excellent communication & engagement skills ,commitment to improving service delivery, knowledge of the education system and experience of working in a mental health setting.
