Are you passionate about improving the lives of children with ADHD and/or autism?  Do you thrive as part of a vibrant and skilled multidisciplinary team?  We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our school-age neurodevelopmental assessment team.

You will play a key role in high-quality MDT assessment of school-age children, both offering direct assessment but also by being a resource for the team to support formulation of complex cases through consultation, supervision, and team discussions.  As a senior clinician the post will involve taking on relevant responsibilities to ensure effective service delivery.  There will also be opportunity to undertake service development projects.

We welcome applications from candidates with prior experience of assessment, formulation/diagnosis, and support of neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as multidisciplinary working and leadership/ service development. You will play a key role in delivering all aspects of neurodevelopment assessment clinics offered by CYPMHS, including parent/carer interview, structured assessment and observations, liaison with other professionals, report writing and feedback to families. You will act as a resource for the rest of the team in supporting complex formulation and support planning through team discussions, supervision and consultation.

As a senior clinician in the team, you will also have leadership responsibilities that ensure the quality and effectiveness of the service.  One of the key priorities of the service is to reduce waiting times for assessment and you will work alongside others to develop and implement the ND clinic offer.
