Join us in Leeds as an Education Mental Health Practitioner!

Are you a qualified EMHP, a Trainee about to complete your EMHP training, or a CWP who’s completed the CAS course? If so, Leeds is the place for you!

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the MindMate Support Team (MHST) based in the city of Leeds. We currently have various EMHP posts available due to internal promotions as our service grows.

As a Band 5 EMHP, you’ll work with colleagues across Leeds, education settings and health professionals to offer mental health and wellbeing support to young people up to 18 and their families. You will be part of Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, providing assessments and interventions under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.

We require applicants to be registered, or in the process of registering, with BPS or BABCP.

You’ll receive regular case management, individual and peer supervision to support high clinical standards.

The post-holder will have completed or be nearing the end of the HEE postgraduate diploma in Education mental health practice. They will be able to competently deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.

Main duties of the job involve using your skills and knowledge to deliver a range of whole school work such as assemblies, workshops and education staff training. Alongside 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for young people, and parents/carers.

Delivering a 'whole setting approach' within educational settings developing excellent professional working relationships along the way. You will work within a strongly supportive mini team including a fellow EMHP and a practitioner.
