Equity Quality Impact Assessment Officer

Vacancy Introduction

The Clinical Governance Team lead a culture of clinical excellence to enable delivery of safe, effective high-quality care to patients that is evidenced by good outcomes and patient feedback. We listen to people’s voice to continuously learn and improve.  We work in line with the Trust vision, values and magnificent behaviours.

Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is committed to ensuring that a consistent approach is taken to inform changes in practice, quality improvements, business cases, cost improvement plans and any other plans that will result in a change in the way we provide a service or a change in how we support service delivery. This includes a robust evaluation for their impact on healthcare equity and quality.

The Equity and Quality Impact Assessment (EQIA) Officer will support delivery of the EQIA agenda for the Organisation.

The role will include, but is not limited to, supporting the day-to-day Equity and Quality Impact Assessment (EQIA) process for the Trust. This will include providing practical support to teams undertaking EQIAs, delivering training on the EQIA process (in-house training will be provided), and offering advice and guidance to Trust-wide teams to ensure EQIAs are completed to a high-quality standard.

The postholder will support the delivery and embedding of equity considerations within service change, quality improvement activity, and decision-making processes, working in line with Trust policies and frameworks. The role will involve supporting the EQIA process from initiation through to completion, contributing to monitoring and assurance activity, and escalating issues as appropriate.

The successful applicant will work as part of the Clinical Governance Team and will, at times, work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider governance function, supporting shared assurance processes and contributing to a coordinated approach to equity, quality, and governance within the Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual with good attention to detail to join the Clinical Governance Team, with an interest in supporting work to address inequity in healthcare. If you are a team player, self-motivated, and able to work flexibly and collaboratively, we would welcome your application to a values-based organisation and kind, welcoming team.
