Vacancy Introduction
We are seeking a caring and driven Rehabilitation Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive team within the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering excellent patient care while supporting the clinical team in the smooth running of the service. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Consultants in Rehabilitation, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Dietitians and Nurses, you will perform a variety of clinical duties. This position is ideal for candidates with prior therapy-based experience, particularly in primary care or community health, who are enthusiastic, organised, and committed to making a positive impact on patients’ lives.
This is a permanent role for 30 hours per week.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team in all aspects of their clinical and administrative activities, both at St Marys Hospital and during patient home visits.
Working alongside the administrative team, the post holder should ensure that all interactions between patients, visitors, and the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team are conducted to the highest possible standards.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
• Experience working in a healthcare setting
• A patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills
• Ability to undertake Health Checks
• Experience with patient home visits
• Blood pressure monitoring skills
• A strong team spirit
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a wide range of tasks and shifting priorities
• A flexible approach, with a passion for development and training
