Community Staff Nurse

Vacancy Introduction

Are you a passionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a positive impact in your community, in a role that fits around your life? Look no further! We are seeking a vibrant and compassionate Community Staff Nurse to join our dynamic out of hours team.

At Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, we believe in providing exceptional care that goes beyond the ordinary, and we need someone like you to help us achieve that vision. When you join us we will work with you to develop your own personal developmental plan, that supports your learning style. We provide training, clinical supervision and access to a peer support network. We won't just stop there though, we are proud of our career progression offer that will allow you to develop your clinical, leadership and preceptorship skills.

You will be a registered staff nurse and have excellent assessment, planning and evaluation skills, to ensure that patient care is timely and appropriate.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients, administering medications, coordinating care plans, and providing support to families/carers during different crisis situations i.e. blocked catheters and palliative care support.

This is a fast paced role, requiring safe and effective clinical decision making, so you must be able to think on your feet, problem solve issues that arise and juggle conflicting priorities. You must be able to motivate others in challenging times and utilise the resources available to you effectively.

The hours of work are 17:00pm - 22:00pm over 7 days a week (including bank holidays).

It would be expected that you are available to work on a rota over 7 evenings per week, 365 days per year.

The contract is for a minimum of 10 hours (2 evenings), up to a maximum of 30 hours (6 evenings). Hours can be discussed prior to application or at interview as required.

You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for work purposes as driving citywide is an expectation of the role.

Please note: Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer sponsorship for this role.

We strongly recommend getting in touch to discuss the role further.
